Bike information

MAGNIFIQUE II / IV:

• The bicycles on board is a unisex city bike with a low-entry and a riding position that is upright and comfortable. The bike is handmade in the Netherlands by Azor, specially designed by Boat Bike Tours. The bike consists of a lightweight aluminum frame and is equipped with responsive roller brakes (handbrake), a Shimano 7 speed nexus drive, Selle-Royal gel saddle (adjustable), an easy to use lock (fixed on frame) and the Schwalbe Marathon anti-puncture tyre. This all results in a lightweight, stable and reliable bike, good for many miles on the saddle.
• The E-bike is an Azor Steps with Nexus 7 gears and hand brakes. The crank Shimano motor (400 WH) offers 4 support levels, The E-bikes have a comfortable gel saddle and a lock on the frame (or a comparable brand/model).
• Bicycle rent is optional. Guests are also allowed to bring their own bicycles/e-bikes (limited number of parking places available). Guests can book a parking place for a normal bicycle or a parking and charge station for an e-bike for a small additional fee. For safety reasons it is no longer possible to charge the batteries of your own e-bikes in the cabin. The crew will inform you where on deck/ on board you can recharge your battery. However, the crew or tour operators are in no way responsible for any damage, loss or theft of guests own bicycles or e-bikes.
• Prices of other bikes (e.g. children’s bikes, “slip streamers”/tag-a-long, tandem bicycles etc. and child’s saddles (rear) are on request.

FLUVIUS:

• The ship's own rental bikes are unisex trekking bikes from the brand "Bikkel" - Private Label with low entry, 7-speed hub gears with handbrake only and pannier bag.
• The e-bike is a Bikkel - Private Label with 7 gears, 6 levels of assistance, hand brakes only and pannier bag.
• Bike hire is optional. You can also bring your own bikes / e-bikes (limited number of parking spaces available). For a small fee, you can book a parking space for a normal bike or a parking and charging station for an e-bike. For safety reasons, it is not possible to charge the batteries of your own electric bikes in the cabin. The crew will inform you where you can charge your battery on deck/on board. In this case, the ship's crew and organiser are not liable for any damage, loss or theft of your own bike or e-bike.
• Other rental bikes (including bikes with coaster brakes, children's bikes, tandem bikes, slipstreamers) and child seats (for the luggage rack) are on

Prices

FLUVIUS:

• Rental bike: €60 per trip (optional)
• E-bike hire: €145 per trip (only a limited number of e-bikes available, therefore only on prior request/booking)
• Helmets: You can hire a helmet for €10 per trip, but only if reserved and paid for at the time of booking.

PREMIUM BOATS (rental prices incl. bike helmet and limitation of liability (damage):

• Premium bike rental: €65 per week (optional)
• Premium e-bike rental: €160 per week (only a limited number of e-bikes available, therefore only on prior request/booking)

ALL BOATS:

• Parking space for own bike: €7/trip (only a limited number of parking spaces available, therefore only on prior request/booking)
• Parking space + charging station own e-bike: €15/trip (only a limited number of parking spaces available, therefore only on prior request/booking)

• Cycling route distances in the travel program are approximate.
• On some days you can choose between a longer and a shorter cycling route. Please note that on the shorter routes you may not be able to visit all the highlights mentioned.
• If you prefer not to cycle on a particular day, you’re welcome to stay on board and relax while the ship cruises to the next landing place.
• The tour itinerary and route are subject to possible changes due to nautical, technical or meteorological reasons, or other unforeseen events.
• On the arrival day, you can leave your luggage on board the ship from 11.00 am.
• A detailed cycling map and a GPS app are available for guests who wish to cycle individually and at their own pace. The tour guide is always available via cell phone in case of questions, breakdowns or emergencies.
• Amsterdam canal cruise: duration 1 hour - special price for our guests: €16 (at the ticket office approx. €19). Please book and pay for your ticket in advance and collect it on board on the first day.

Ships
Please bear in mind that the ship is both your hotel and a machine that needs to be maintained and operated - both during the day and at night. Operational noise is therefore unavoidable.

The boat

For many years the river cruiser Fluvius has been a popular choice. On board of this charming ship, which caters for a maximum of 44 guests, there are 18 twins and 4 double cabins: 14 regular and 1 smaller twin on the lower deck, and 3 twins and 4 double cabins on the upper deck. All of these are equipped with the necessary facilities: beds, bathroom, air conditioning and a cabinet for your belongings. Have drink in the salon on the upper deck and enjoy your meal in the restaurant area. Or take a seat on the large sun deck if the weather allows it.

The boat

This younger sister of the Magnifique, the Magnifique II, was built in 2015-2016 and offers a wonderful stay to a maximum of 34 guests. All of the 13 cabins on the lower deck and 4 suites on the upper deck are very comfortable: excellent beds and a private bathroom, as well as air conditioning, satellite TV, and a wardrobe with a mini-safe. In the tastefully furnished and air conditioned salon on the upper deck, the bar is a real eye catcher. On one side you’ll find the restaurant area and on the other there is the lounge. The captain and his crew will take good care of you!

This beautiful ship has 16 lovely cabins on the lower deck, all with two very comfortable beds, an en-suite bathroom, satellite TV, mini-safe and hairdryer. The 5 suites on the upper deck also have a small sitting area and large windows. The air conditioned restaurant and lounge area are situated around the prominent bar; ideal spots to enjoy life aboard! Let’s not forget about the Jacuzzi and deckchairs on the top deck.
